In the Spring of 2009, Kids Rock!, a special program of the Children and Youth Ministry, launched to bring together elementary aged kids, their friends, and parents for rocking good times in the Christian spirit. Just about each month, Kid Rockers gather for ice skating, bowling, swimming, movie and gym nights, and the like. This program allows the family community at PUMC to have loads of fun while building lasting friendships among kids and parents. If you have a suggestion for a Kids Rock! activity that you'd like to see happen at PUMC, or if you are interested in helping coordinate Kids Rock! activities, please contact Charly Ryan - charly@potomac-umc.org. "Families First"
The first Sunday of each month immediately after worship, Kids Rock! hosts a "Families First" coffee hour open to all Sunday Schoolers (and anyone else brave enough!) in the Parish Hall gym. There's always a stack of donuts, coffee, and plenty of balls, games, and good conversation and fun for kids of all ages and their parents. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with families at PUMC! Volunteer hosts always needed! Contact the Church Office to offer your time and donuts!
Vacation Bible School - August 16-20 - SPACESHIP HAS REACHED MAXIMUM CAPACITY - REGISTRATION

It's going to be a "Galactic Blast" for boys and girls Pre-School through 5th grades as they climb aboard "Starship Galactic Praise" and travel on a cosmic adventure praising God! Along with our friend, "Galileo the Green Gorilla" we'll learn that our God is an Awesome God, an Amazing God, a Wonderful God! And, we'll find out why Galileo is green!
Our mission includes creation of the universe, visiting Elijah at Mr. Horeb, the woman at the well, learning about a blind beggar in Jericho and the two disciples in Emmaus. Each day children will enjoy lively music, crafts, special activities, and daily treats from the Astro Bistro! Special guests will be joining us!

One Room Sunday School - Summer Sunday School for Kids
Beginning in early June, One Room Sunday School offers children from 3 through 5th grade an opportunity to
gather together for stories, crafts, snacks and activities after the weekly Children's Sermon with the Pastor.
This year the program will be led by volunteer parents. If you would be interested in volunteering, contact
