Rosemary Dyer
.

A protégé of Metropolitan Opera star Rose Bampton, Rosemary Dyer completed her musical studies as a Fulbright scholar to the Rome Opera House. She has been a soloist with the Baltimore Symphony twice and has appeared three times at the White House, as well as the Smithsonian. She founded the Prince George’s Opera while pursuing her career as organist-choir master in sacred music, and as a specialist in American musical theater.

In 1990, Ms. Dyer wrote an original curriculum for the National Endowment for the Arts, “The American Musical: A Mirror of Ourselves.” Her voice students include Metropolitan Opera audition winners as well as featured artists on and off Broadway.

She is Music Director of the Potomac United Methodist Church and of the prestigious Washington Vocal Artists.
