 Connections  Get connected at Potomac United Methodist Church! We have a Ministry or fellowship activity that brings us closer together with each other and closer to God.Membership and Evangelism committee brings our members and friends in the community together for numerous service and other activities during the year. Friends and Fellowship is an active senior fellowship group that welcomes singles and couples. Book Club members enjoy a monthly morning discussion with coffee and goodies in the Parish Hall Reading Room, and the Club concludes its reading season with a pot-luck party. Sunday Coffee Hour immediately following Worship gives everyone a chance to come together for coffee, cookies, and catch-up! Open Gym Basketball is held on Sunday evenings during the school year and invites members and the community at large to play hard on our full length basketball court in the Parish Hall Gymnasium. Check out the Calendar for the Open Night schedule and come play with us - all ages welcome! Faith in Action! "Gone Serving" Weekend Event happens each Fall here at PUMC. It's a weekend in which our entire congregation comes together to "be the church" and put our faith into action by serving the needs of our community and world. Collecting bikes for Africa, and cell phones, batteries, eyeglasses for recycling, raising funds for cancer and UMCOR buckets, repairing homes of people who need our help, collecting warm winter clothing for Afghanistan -- these are just a few of the projects that we undertake. |
