Mission Team Fellowship Activities Strawberry Festival 2010 |

 United Methodist Women Every woman at Potomac United Methodist Church is a member of the United Methodist Women. We encourage women of all ages to join us for fellowship meetings, outreach opportunities, social events, and, of course, our Annual Strawberry Festival! The Annual Strawberry Festival is the largest fundraising event sponsored by the PUMW. Be sure to mark your calendar for May 22, 2010! Proceeds benefit the following non-profits: Montgomery County Hospice Excel Institute Child Savers Montgomery Avenue Women's Shelter Red Bird Mission Pastor Discretionary Fund *UMCOR Pepco Emergency Fund Washington Gas Emergency Fund PUMC Debt Key to the Cure Day Alzheimer's Foundation FLOC (For the Love of Children) Christ House Courtney's House *UMCOR is the umbrella mission for charities our PUMW has given to in previous years. UMCOR will distribute our funds to Lovely Lane, Deaf Interfaith, Deaf Ministries, Board of Childcare and Wesley House, all of which have received our individual support in the past. In addition, UMCOR gives our donations to Aids Orphans Trust, Health Family Kits, and World Global Aids Fund. This year, our contribution will be a part of the Potomac United Methodist contribution that we as a church are committed to giving each year. |
