Senior High MYF

The Senior High/MYF (9th -12th grades) meets in the parish center at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Led by Charly Ryan and Susan Epstein, the class varies each week.

The "class" can be a discussion group about peer pressure, relationships with parents or the importance of prayer. They have walked with angels, created man (with clay), participated in worship services, made gifts for children at the Inn at NIH, provided Christmas gifts for 28 teenagers at the Board of Child Care and each February for Valentine's Day fills about 35 boxes of candies, snacks, and cards for our MYF alumni who are off at college..

On Mother's Day, the Senior High is responsible for the worship service. Underclassmen act as greeters, ushers and liturgists while the seniors offer reflections at sermon time.

Seniors are also recognized for their service to the church and honored as graduates. Two awards are available to the seniors. The Dewitt Dickey Scholarship given to the student proven to be a responsible leader and good example to the younger members of the church. The Carol Armstrong Outstanding Service Award is given to the senior who has gone above and beyond as a volunteer within the both church and the community.

The MYF meets after Sunday School class on a regular basis. Leaders for this year are Shannon Ryan and Chris Snead. All youth are welcome!
