1/2 pound blue cheese
1/2 cup cream cheese
Heavy cream, sour cream or yogurt to thin
Cream together the blue and cream cheeses. Stir in enough heavy cream, sour cream or yogurt to create the right consistency, either for spreading or dipping.
Alternatives - instead of adding blue cheese add one of the following:
- Anchovy/garlic
- Red and green pepper (use olive oil to thin, salt and pepper)
- Chopped herbs and dried tomato (use olive oil to thin, salt and pepper)
- Crab or shrimp (add a little mayonnaise and lemon juice to thin, salt and pepper)
- Be creative - add your own ingredients!
