HAITI:

Helping our neighbors in Haiti...We are collecting monetary donations
for the victims of the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti through
UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).  You can send contributions to the Church Office
or directly to UMCOR - PO Box 9068 - NY, NY 10087; donate by phone  (800)554-8583  (800)554-8583 ; or on-line umcor.org.

The Sunday School has offered to assemble "Health Kits" for individuals.  Because of strict rules
governing product entry into international countries, UMCOR is asking for ONLY the following items:
   hand towels, washcloths, combs (large & sturdy),
   nail file or fingernail clippers, 
   bath-size bars of soap, toothbrushes
   (in original wrappers only),
   adhesive bandages, $1 per kit to purchase toothpaste.  
Please leave items in the church office.

Please keep the victims and their families in your prayers while lending support as you are able.

PUMC INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: ALL ACTIVITIES IN OUR PARISH CENTER ARE CANCELLED THIS WEEKEND.
Classes will resume Monday, Feb. 8, 2010
PUMC facilities will be closed during inclement weather as necessary to promote safety and to facilitate snow removal operations.  Our Church follows Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) delays and cancellations. The decisions made will be publicized on PUMC voice mail and on this website.
